Mastering the fundamentals

Gian started at 84.1kg. Based in Ireland and a strict vegetarian by her Sikh faith and values, she came to Tanvir with one mission: master the fundamentals and build a transformation that would actually last. No quick fixes, no trends, just the real building blocks done properly and repeated.

She mastered meal prep early. The nutrition was built around her real life and her vegetarian values, alongside the part most people avoid, behaviour change. This was never a plan she simply followed. It was a set of principles she learned to live by.

It started with identity, not motivation

Most people chase motivation. Tanvir ruled it out early and explained why. Motivation is short term and it relapses. What Gian needed was to change the identity she chose to show up as each day, so she no longer had to identify with her former self. She would simply embody the new one.

In their weekly coaching calls, Tanvir coached her to picture the future version of herself in detail. The clothes she would wear. The routines and habits she would keep. The music she would listen to. The places she would travel. The way she would talk about herself. They made daily gratitude and positive self-talk part of the work, reshaping how she viewed herself until the new Gian was not a goal she was reaching for, but simply who she was.

On their very first consultation she was quiet, shy and a little scared, with a flourishing side hidden away. As the coaching took hold, it came out. She went from being intimidated walking into a gym to being the most confident person in the room, training in her Gymshark kit and back in dance classes. Now confidence simply pours out of her.

Results that travelled with her

Gian was on family holidays throughout the year, so the plan had to travel with her. Before each trip, Tanvir would find out where she was staying and for how long, then research the local restaurants and build her options, so she could enjoy a meal out each day of her choice and still hold the foundations they had put in place. She kept moving forward toward her results, even while away.

At home it was just as deliberate. Tanvir researched her local Irish supermarkets and built click-and-collect and delivery lists she could order in a tap, translating the Irish to English so nothing got lost. Eating well stopped being the hard option and became the easy one.

A family transformed

She got so good at it that she brought her family with her. Together they moved to healthier, protein-rich, plant-based meals, and lost weight as a family. One person’s change became everyone’s.

A note from your coach

Gian didn’t just follow a plan, she became the kind of person who lives the principles. We got the basics right and repeated them, at home and on every holiday, and we did the deeper work of rebuilding the identity she shows up as. The result I’m proudest of is this: she took everything she learned, went independent, and kept building entirely on her own, with her family alongside her. That is what doing it properly looks like.

Then she did it on her own

Her journey spans more than two years in total. Roughly the first year was coached, then Gian chose to step back and continue independently, sustaining and building on the result entirely by herself. She did not chase the next trendy method. She doubled down on the non-negotiables: heavy strength training three times a week, daily steps, and a plant-based plan she could trust. For cardio, she returned to her passion. Dance, three times a week.

Who she is now

She finished at 64.7kg and, more than the number, she is in the best shape, health and mindset of her life. Her posture changed. Her confidence rose. She became herself, and so much more.

I am more confident, and this transformation is letting me own who I am now. I no longer need to put on a face of confidence, I simply just am now.
