In 2020, COVID left Priya with post-viral fatigue that dragged on for two years. She took the stairs one at a time and couldn’t reach the end of her road without sitting down to rest. Today she lifts heavier than half the gym, and the first time she saw the muscle in her own back, she didn’t believe it was hers.
Priya is 38, a UK Government lawyer and part-time magistrate. With 40 on the horizon, she understood something a lot of women learn too late: muscle is the thing you have to fight to keep as you age. She didn’t want another diet. She wanted to feel strong — and to know her body could carry her through a demanding career and the decades after it.
Where she started
Her weight had been a long battle. At her heaviest she was 90kg, and it had begun six years earlier — Slimming World, then Weight Watchers, then her first nervous steps into a gym. She trained on her own for eighteen months. She hired personal trainers. She put in hour after hour on the cardio machines — and the scale barely moved. The harder she worked for so little return, the more stuck she felt.
Then she came across Tanvir on Instagram: real clients, real transformations, the strong-and-lean look she’d always wanted but never known how to build. It flipped a question in her head — if she was already working this hard for nothing, what could she do with a plan actually built for her?

How we got there

We started with her, not a template — her lifestyle, her nutrition knowledge, what had and hadn’t worked before, and how she liked to track her food. From that came a plan built on gradual progression: strength training first, structured nutrition she could actually live with, and sustainable habits in place of crash tactics.
She trained three times a week, consistently, fitted around her schedule and her cases. Daily check-ins, logged workouts, tracked food, weekly photos and measurements — the structure that turns effort into results. She never had to choose between her training and her career; the plan was built to hold both.

And it didn’t cost her at work — it paid her back. The energy that used to fade by mid-afternoon now carries the whole day. She’s sharper, more focused, more present in the room when it counts. The discipline she built in training — showing up, doing the work, trusting the process — followed her straight into her professional life. Getting stronger in the gym made her better at her job.
The numbers backed up how she felt: body fat down from 41.6% to 30%, close to 15kg lost, and around 5 inches off both her waist and her hips. But the part she talks about most isn’t on any chart — somewhere along the way it stopped being a programme and became a life she enjoys: a circle of gym friends, a set of calluses she’s quietly proud of, and a body she trusts to do whatever she asks of it.
